Nature brushes paint across our world in all its magnificent hues and chisel forms that sprout from the earth in the shape of their essence. That same energy composes harmonies in rain droplets, choreographs movement in rolling waves, and writes stories that weave all living beings together.
Our world has evolved just as art evolves - emerging into existence as the entity it was always meant to become. It is a dance between chaos and peace, erupting from everything that has been to form everything that will be.
The power of destruction is both the antithesis and a part of the power of creativity, a cosmic tension that stirs our world and the many forms of life that inhabit it. These energies live in every human being - it is from this creative force that we are able to imagine, and furthermore, make art, and it is from this destructive force that we are able to harm one another and ruin our planet. When we choose to make art, that is one more act of creativity to outweigh humanity's acts of destruction.
I wholeheartedly believe in art's profound power to impact our collective human consciousness. Either by addressing issues directly (be it racism, sexism, exploitation, or the deterioration of our environment) or by inspiring humanity in its physical manifestation of imagination, art has the potential to reach the deepest part of our souls, to shake up its substance and make us reevaluate this thing we call life.
